JapanStay provides a free checklist builder and may offer self-serve digital planning downloads. It does not ask users to upload passports, residence cards, financial documents, private addresses, or other sensitive documents.

Information entered on the page

The profile selector runs in the browser. The selected profile, timing, sponsor status, and family-member option are used only to update the checklist shown on the page.

Downloads and checkout

The free CSV checklist can be downloaded directly without an email address. When paid checkout is active, JapanStay uses Lemon Squeezy to process digital-download purchases, payment, receipts, tax handling, fraud prevention, customer support, and file delivery. JapanStay does not collect or store full card numbers through this website.

Analytics

JapanStay uses Google Analytics to understand basic page usage and interactions such as profile changes, CSV downloads, print/save actions, and clicks to Japan cost calculators. These events are used to improve the site. JapanStay does not use analytics events to store passport numbers, residence card numbers, financial balances, private addresses, or document scans.

JapanStay links to official Japanese government sources and Japan cost calculators. External sites have their own privacy practices.

Checklist email updates

If you choose to request the free checklist by email, JapanStay will collect your email address, consent choice, signup source, and the time of signup. We use Brevo to send the checklist and any optional JapanStay planning emails. We use our self-hosted automation service to pass the request securely to Brevo and to maintain a minimal internal signup log. We do not ask for passports, residence cards, financial documents, or other sensitive documents through this signup.

Marketing emails are optional and require your affirmative consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in an email or by contacting contact@jmnet.tokyo.

Future changes

If JapanStay adds accounts, document uploads, or other material data-processing features, this notice will be updated before those features go live.
